The three-day visit of President Seyyed Ebrahim to Pakistan, spanning from April 22 to April 24, 2024, highlights the importance of the bilateral relationship between the two neighboring countries. The public holiday is a strategic move by the city’s administration to ensure traffic flow is managed, and security protocols are meticulously followed without causing undue inconvenience to the public.

Traffic Route guide

Geo News reports that as part of the security measures being implemented, certain roads in Karachi will be closed to traffic. Notably, Club Road from PIDC to Metropole will be completely shut down for vehicular movement. Furthermore, Dr. Ziauddin Road from the Ziauddin Bridge signal to PIDC Chowk and Dr. Ziauddin Ahmed Road from Khoja Chowk to PIDC will also be closed.

Those who travel from Shahrah-e-Faisal to Sultanabad can take a left turn at Club Chowk, moving towards Clifton Bridge and Boat Basin to reach their destinations.

Additionally, traffic from Khalique-uz-Zaman Road, Gizri, and Bacha Party can take a right turn from Ziauddin signal and a left turn at Hoshang Chowk to head towards Metropole, Fountain Chowk, Aiwan-e-Sadar, and beyond. Vehicles coming from Shaheen Complex can take a left turn at Khoja Chowk towards Aiwan-e-Sadar Road, Avari Tower Clifton, and other areas.
