JUI Sindh Prepares Karachi Rally on May 2nd

Karachi (Staff Reporter): In a recent press conference at the District Press Club Malir, the General Secretary of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Sindh, Allama Rashid Mahmood Soomro, made a bold assertion that the upcoming public rally on May 2nd in Karachi will mark a new chapter in the city’s history. The rally is being organized amidst allegations of widespread electoral fraud in the recent Sindh elections, with pointed criticisms aimed at PPP leader Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

Allama Soomro addressed the media during his tour of the Malir district, in preparation for the May 2nd rally, where he accused the PPP of gaining power through severe electoral malpractices. “While Bilawal Bhutto finds himself in a bind, every child in Sindh knows of the electoral fraud that has marred the recent elections,” Soomro stated.

He also criticized the PPP’s alleged tactics of attracting rally attendees with incentives,

“They call people to their rallies by offering 500 rupees and a plate of biryani, but Insha’Allah, our rally will see a massive turnout of ideologically driven JUI workers.”

Soomro’s speech also covered broader issues, including the plight of Palestinians under Israeli aggression, the sale of Sindh’s 60,000 acres of land, local issues of street crime, and the economic strain caused by agreements with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Further emphasizing the role of JUI in Sindh’s political landscape, Soomro claimed that after PPP, JUI is the party with the second-highest vote bank in the province, often challenged by the support of dacoits (bandits) for certain local leaders. He also promised to raise voice against any meddling with the finality of the Prophethood laws, which he alleged was attempted by a Supreme Court judge.

The rally, according to Soomro, will serve as a platform for the people of Sindh to voice their concerns over these critical issues. Prominent JUI leaders, including Maulana Abdul Karim Abid, Maulana Ehsanullah Tikravi, Maulana Ajmal Shah Shirazi, and Qari Hamdullah Haqqani were also present at the conference.

JUI’s rally is set to challenge the political status quo in Sindh, as the party gears up to address both local grievances and international concerns. As the date approaches, the political atmosphere in Karachi intensifies, with all eyes set on the potential impact of this significant political gathering.
